Islamabad: Cancer Care for Needy Patients (CCNP), a leading public welfare organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged individuals in accessing cancer treatment, held a high-level strategy meeting in Islamabad, chaired by Chairman Tanveer Baloch.
The meeting was attended by President Zaheer Alam, Secretary Hooria Ikram, and Board Members Masood Chaudhry, Adeel Shahid, Allah Dad Siddiqui, and Nouman Masood.
Participants reviewed the organization’s ongoing projects and assessed their performance. The leadership expressed satisfaction with the pace and impact of current initiatives, and unanimously agreed to expand and expedite project implementation to reach more beneficiaries across the country.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman Tanveer Baloch and President Zaheer Alam reaffirmed CCNP’s mission of serving humanity through equitable healthcare. They urged all members and stakeholders to adopt a more dynamic and coordinated approach to planning and executing future projects.
“The fight against cancer, especially for the underprivileged, demands a collective response. Whether through service, funding, or awareness, every contribution counts,” said Baloch. “Supporting those battling cancer, particularly those without access to care, is a moral and social imperative.”
Recognizing the critical need for prevention and early diagnosis, the leadership announced the launch of a nationwide cancer awareness campaign. A key focus of the campaign will be breast cancer awareness, with special outreach efforts targeted at female students through seminars in women’s universities. These sessions will cover early detection, treatment options, and the importance of timely medical intervention.
CCNP also announced a series of awareness walks and roadshows to be held across Pakistan. These events aim to engage a wide spectrum of society, including civil society organizations, government representatives, international delegates, journalists, students, and healthcare professionals, in a unified effort to raise awareness and foster proactive measures against cancer.
By combining patient support with education and advocacy, Cancer Care for Needy Patients continues to strengthen its role as a vital force in Pakistan’s healthcare landscape.
